"What she had begun to learn was the weight of liberty. Freedom is a heavy load, a great and strange burden for the spirit to undertake. It is not easy. It is not a gift given, but a choice made, and the choice may be a hard one. The road goes upward towards the light; but the laden traveller may never read it."

The Tombs of Atuan by Ursula K. Le Guin

Another book I’ve had since Christmas (?); I’ve got the “Earthsea, The First Four Books” volume. Steadily making my way through it.

When I was a kid I was very into science fiction and mostly glossed over fantasy stuff so this could actually be the first time I’ve read Ursula K. le Guin. Properly, anyway, probably read some short stories when younger.
