Not so much new stuff this month. For no particular reason (apart from it’s good) I’ve been re-listening to Dilated People’s The Platform from 2000 a fair bit this month; It’s a corker, one of my favourite albums of all time. Anyway:

  • Yazmin Lacey: Voice Notes. Has taken a few listens. It’s a bit hit and miss for me and I forget to pay attention in some songs, but really liking From a Lover and Pieces.
  • boygenius: the record. I was Not Strong Enough not to listen after proclaiming I didn’t really like boygenius despite loving Phoebe Bridgers and Better Oblivion Community Centre. But this album is amazing and much better than the E.P from 2018. It could end up being my album of the year through sheer listens. Not Strong Enough is also my favourite song. I love it a ridiculous amount.
  • Billie Marten: Drop Cherries. Still all about This is How We Move for me, although I Can’t Get My Head Around You has grown on me now. Billie Marten’s prolific output reminds me of…
  • Lana Del Rey: Did you know that there’s a tunnel under Ocean Blvd. My favourites are A&W and the titular track.
