- 8oz of plain flour
- 4oz of marg/butter
- 1oz of caster sugar (Why not?! It is Christmas)
- 1 Mabel the duck egg (slightly bigger than Primrose’s)
Make a breadcrumb like mixture, then add in the egg in with fingers as that should give the exact right amount of liquid to get lovely pastry.
This gives me easily enough pastry to make twenty-four mince pies (with little star tops; I used to have a little Christmas tree cutter as well, but it’s been lost).
