I swear I had some post knocking about here explaining my reasoning for joining last.fm as being disappointed to belatedly discover my favourite band (at the time; probably still now) had released a couple of albums that I had no idea about; Therefore, I hoped that by using last.fm this kind of thing wouldn’t happen again; Also, I hoped it would significantly help me discover new, similar, bands to those I already liked.
As I mentioned in my Xfm post, I thought about deleting my last/libre.fm accounts; However, I couldn’t bring myself to do it as even if I never use them again they are an interesting archive of information. Whilst browsing around last.fm deliberating this though, I discovered that -lo and behold - it had happened again.
And this wouldn’t have been worth mentioning if it were not for my recent Party! Party! night when after an excellent evening (courtesy of stand-in Georgie Rogers) when I thought things couldn’t get any better, they did (I’ve rarely got to listen to this show before) and I actually got to hear one of these tracks on Xfm. The good news, for me, is that I still like the Freestylers and so by hook or by crook I’m going to get hold of this and give it some serious listening to.
